Jean Triol
Jean Hand Triol became serious about her art in the mid-1990’s, ten years before retiring from a cytotechnology career. She studied with premiere watercolor artist Karen Leigh for several years before touring France with her and other students, palette and brushes in hand. Jean has attended many workshops with notable artists since then, but most of all she has just kept painting.
Over the past 25 years Jean has exhibited in national juried art shows, receiving a number of awards. In 2021 her painting, Empty Arms received President’s Award in Montana Watercolor Society’s annual show. She holds lifetime signature membership in MTWS. She is award winning watercolor artist and also works in oil and acrylic.
“Looking at life from an artist’s perspective has been exciting. I love the whole creative process, the challenge of it and the joy. I am grateful to have been part of that. But above all, painting has given me a clear and open way to carry this love into my life’s work.
I now live in St.Petersburg, Florida where I have found a thriving art community. It’s a new beginning.”
