Plant Swap and Art Raffle
Every year in April, neighbors of the Old Southeast Neighborhood bring their plants, cuttings and garden tools to the shade-filled parking lot of The Chattaway Restaurant for the Annual OSE Plant Swap.
What: OSE Plant Swap & Art Raffle
When: Saturday, April 11th, 9-11:30 am
Where: The Chattaway, 358 22nd Ave S., St. Petersburg, FL
Our special focus this year is simple: creating a healthy, welcoming environment for people, pollinators, birds, and wildlife in our neighborhood. By choosing Florida Native and Florida Friendly plants, you help your yard thrive through both drought and summer downpours—while reducing the need for extra water, fertilizer, and maintenance. The right plants in the right place make gardening easier and more sustainable for everyone.
Plant Swap
Bring your cuttings, extra or newly propagated plants, or garden related items to share. Label with your plant’s name and care instructions. Not sure what you have? No problem! We’ll have knowledgeable neighbors on hand and can help with plant
identification and growing tips. It’s a wonderful way to learn from each other and discover what grows best right here in OSE. Please avoid bringing invasive plants! https://www.floridainvasives.org/plant-list/
Plant Sale
We’ll also have a great selection of beautiful plants available at discount prices just for OSE neighbors—perfect for adding something new to your landscape. Special labeling will draw attention to Florida Native and Florida Friendly plants.
Free Trees
The City of Saint petersburg is generously gifting us small trees, available on a first-come, first-served basis to OSE residents only.
OSE Artist Enclave Raffle
To make the day even more special, the OSE Artist Enclave will offer a raffle featuring original artwork created by talented neighborhood artists. Raffle tickets will be available at the event and proceeds from the Raffle will support the OSE Artist Enclave as we prepare for the OctoberArtist Enclave Studio Tour.
Renew your OSNA membership, buy a winning Raffle ticket for a special piece of art from and benefitting our Artist Enclave, or purchase a potted plant to support OSNA and future Plant Swap events. Cash or credit card accepted. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just getting started, this is a wonderful opportunity to beautify your yard, support local wildlife, and learn from neighbors who are passionate about Florida-friendly gardening.
